Levels update, the next edition opens
Every validated match updates the players' levels. A full tournament can automatically launch its next edition.
Balanced groups, not a random draw
At draw time, Anybuddy ranks teams by their players' level, then distributes them in a snake pattern: the best in group A, the next two in group B, then back to A.
Every group ends up with the same average level. No "group of death", no group that is too easy: everyone plays close matches.
The level comes from matches actually played on Anybuddy. How the level is calculated

The format that suits your evening
An express tournament on Sunday morning, a month-long league or a big end-of-season bracket: choose when you create it.
- Single elimination
- The classic bracket, from the first round to the final.

- Everyone plays everyone. Ideal for guaranteeing several matches each.
- Groups then bracket
- A group stage, then a final bracket for the best teams.
- Consolante
- Teams knocked out early carry on in a parallel bracket.
- TMC
- Every match is ranked: each team plays to the end and leaves with a position.
- Box league
- Small groups played over several weeks, at the players' pace.

Players organise their matches, you referee nothing
Each round has a deadline. Teams agree on a slot in the app and book their court at the club, like any other game.
After the match, one team enters the score and the other validates it. If it is not disputed by the deadline, it is validated automatically; a match that is not played is declared a walkover. The tournament never gets stuck.
Players get the right notifications at the right time: match to organise, slot proposed, score to validate, pre-match reminder, result.

Frequently asked questions
Do players need a licence or a ranking?
No. Anybuddy tournaments are designed for casual play and club life. Teams are grouped by their Anybuddy level, calculated from their matches, not by a federation ranking.
How do players pay their entry fee?
Online by card when they register, or on site if you prefer. Online payments go straight to your club's Stripe account.
Who enters the scores?
The players. One team enters the score in the app and the opposing team validates it. If it is not disputed by the round deadline, the score is validated automatically.
What happens if a match is not played in time?
Each round has a deadline. After that, a match with no score is declared a walkover and the tournament carries on, without you having to chase anyone.
Do tournament matches count towards the level?
Yes. Every validated match updates the players' Anybuddy level, just like a regular match.
Can a tournament be relaunched every week?
Yes. With the automatic relaunch option, as soon as a tournament is full, its draw runs and the next edition opens for registration.
